Maximize Your Search Results for
Search Terms
Your website search engine rankings
for various search terms depends on both your on-website content
as well as your off-website content. On-website content is obvious,
however, off-website content can be even more important. Off-website
content refers to the anchor text of your inbound links. For example,
if you have a link swapping campaign review the links that you have
on your partners' websites. If your link says ScreenTek
and points to www.screentekltd.com
you are not getting the full benefit of the power of linking. You
can improve your rankings by changing the text of your link to a
search term that internet users are likely to include in a search
instead of using the name of your company or your domain name unless
you actually think that internet users are likely to use the name
of your company in a search. For the above example, we would recommend
using Laptop Screen,
for example, as the text and have it point to www.screentekltd.com.
This way the search engines would give credit for the term “Laptop
Screen”.
