2: Remove Covers

Use a knife or other sharp object like an exacto blade to pick off all the screw covers from the front of the display assembly. Remove screw covers from the side of the assembly as well.

It is worth noting that display bezels sometimes have covers that do not cover screws, but as this differs from model to model it cannot be predicted for your specific machine. To be sure, it is best to at least pull up part of every screw cover or piece of rubber you see, to know for sure whether there is a screw concealed.

At this point, we suggest keeping a small container - such as a clear film canister or a small dish - available to hold all screw covers, bezel screws, framing screws, etc.
