4: Frame Screws

This step is to remove the screws holding the LCD device in place. Start by removing the screws in the side of the LCD screen. As these screws are quite small, you should find a safe place to put them, lest they get lost, attach to your clothing, or otherwise disappear. We used the rear plastic shell.

Next, there should be seven (7) screws along the bottom of the LCD screen. Two of these screws are longer -- they are used to ground the laptop. Be sure to keep in mind these screws, and their correct location, for when you put the laptop back together.
