Diagram #1 Open and inspect your laptop. The LCD screen is a very thin device, only a few millimeters thick, and housed within the display assembly. The display assembly is comprised of the LCD screen, the inverter, the video cable, the exterior plastic bezel, an internal metal frame and hinges. Unlike other laptops, the Macbook’s bezel is not held in place by screws, so removal of screw covers is not necessary. The Macbook’s bezel simply snaps in and out of place using the plastic as a locking mechanism. Also unlike other laptops is the absence of the usual latch mechanism, so removing the bezel from this machine is really quite simple. What the Macbook does have that one must be mindful of is a built-in webcam camera. |
