Open and inspect your laptop. The LCD screen is a very thin device - only a few milimeters thick - held in place by a metal frame within the laptop, and a plastic bezel on the outside. The plastic assembly of this Dell Inspiron is held in place by 6 philips screws. Also note the latch mechanism.
