How to use LinkedIn to engage with your fan base (and companies you like).
Using LinkedIn to become more social in your business doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, it’s incredibly easy, and we have a few ways you can use LinkedIn for your business, and build connections with your customers in no time! For us, we know everyone’s got a laptop, or iPad screen that they might eventually need to fix, and We’ve utilized all of these tips on our own to connect with customers who might need us in the future
First, know what you want to accomplish:
Do you want to increase awareness and educate your audience, or do you want to sell your products and services? Knowing these things early on helps you determine how you’ll use LinkedIn from the very beginning. If you want to increase awareness, your posts will be more about your company. You can share some of your expertise through your business profile with articles you’ve published, or pieces you’ve written. If you want to sell your products and services, you’ll be more inclined to post about all of the innovative products or services you offer.
Next be an ambassador for your brand:
Take part in LinkedIn discussions. It doesn’t mean that you have to spam group discussions with your links, but if you’ve written up a great piece of content, or filmed a cool video that you think might be informative to people in your industry; there’s no harm in creating a discussion around it, and letting people know about your brand while you do it. Don’t be afraid to talk about your company: LinkedIn is the one place where you don’t have to feel like you’re being too cocky. The site is the perfect place for company news, releases, and fun facts about your business, and it’s completely appropriate to share news about your company.
Then, get your employees to jump in on the conversation about your company:
You can take it a step further by getting your employees on LinkedIn; have them to buzz about your brand too: There’s no harm in letting your employees gush about your brand. Have them share content posted from your business page with their connections. It’s just another way to spread your brand’s message.
After that, Link and sync: link your blog to feed automatically into your company profile
Moreover, link your blog and use it to tell stories, or give more information on pressing topics in your industry – Linking your blog to your LinkedIn puts a direct feed onto your company page. We re-post the blogs in the status bar, just because the regular feed shows up below the “page fold,” and it can get lost with all of the other information on the page. Your blog can really show off your company image, and give people useful content that they may in turn share with their friends. Doing this can increase your exposure, and give you credibility as an industry expert. You can find out how to link your blog here
Dont forget to utilize LinkedIn Groups, and Answers:
Utilize Groups, and LinkedIn Answers: Both of these tools allow you to show off your expertise, and can help direct leads to you later on. If you answer questions that have to do with your product, or service, it’s a resource for people to find in the future. Using those forums to give accurate advice, and talk to other individuals with questions, helps further connect you with people who might need your products, or services later.
LinkedIn is an incredible marketing and sales tool. Don’t be afraid to put your company out there, and really connect with people by giving them useful and memorable information. The effort you put into concentrating on LinkedIn will have powerful results for your sales and your customer loyalty in the long run.
