RIP Typewriter

Today marks the death of an icon… the typewriter. The antiquated typewriter was left in the dust ages ago by our jazzy laptops and super powerful desktops. The typewriter, now a relic of the past, has been laid to rest as the last typewriter factory recently closed its doors. The typewriter was the first semi-portable word processor. Manual or mechanical, typewriters have come in different forms, all with the commonality of keys transcribing character by character one tap at a time. Sadly, this classic piece of machinery just couldn’t keep up in the technology race, quickly edged out of use and made obsolete by the laptop and desktop computer. We would like to take a moment (or a blog post) to pay tribute to the trusty old typewriter.
